There are 2 twist and seal hatches and one large forward hatch which means that this Hobie can also carry everything you could need for overnight trips as well as just a quick afternoon fishing. On the water the Hobie Revolution is easy to paddle, but should your arms get tired or you want to concentrate on your fishing, simply stow the paddle in the paddle park and slip your feet into the Mirage Drive propelling yourself along using your legs. Not only can the Revolution be paddled and pedalled, but it can also be sailed. The optional Hobie sail is easy to rig and handle. Steering control while sailing or using the Mirage drive is at your fingertips and this leaves one hand free to reach for refreshments in the shape of your Hobie water bottle kept in one of the handy cup holders nearby. Hobie Mirage Drive System The Hobie Mirage Drive System is a simple yet very effective system. It allows you to use your legs to move the kayak forwards and backwards without using your arms. You can use the rudder to turn. The Mirage Drive is removable, quiet and produces no splashing. It mimics a penguin’s flippers to create momentum which enables the kayak to move. |
