Using the extremely popular Ultra 4.7 as a template, Ocean Kayak has developed the new Ultra 4.3 fishing sit on top. This completely new kayak has all the features and performance of the 4.7 but in a much more compact form. The hull delivers a superb blend of speed, tracking and stability and the 4.3’s excellent volume and carrying capacity make for an ideal fishing platform. Standard features include 2 forward facing and 2 rear facing flush rod holders with another 2 holders in the ‘protected zone’ directly behind the paddler. The all new Comfort Seat provides excellent cushioning and support, while the moulded carry handles make pinched fingers when car topping a thing of the past. The 4.3, like the 4.7 has the Ultra’s unique ‘flip’ centre hatch which has mounting points ready for rod holders, gps or fishfinders and can be rotated 180 degrees, protecting any valuable electronics inside the hull from those rough launches and landings. The transducer ready scupper hole has been modified to accept a wider variety of fishfinder transducers, while accessed via a hatch in the rear tank is a conveniently located battery storage area under the seat. Other features include paddle keepers, oversized rear tank, replaceable wear strip in tail, optional rudder system and moulded in bottle and cup holders.
