The Perception Expression delivers more performance and forward speed than a day touring kayak, but is not quite as quick as a sea kayak which can cost twice as much. However if you are looking for a touring kayak that is good for rivers and lakes, but will also allow you to expand your horizons towards the sea and start estuary or coastal kayaking, then Perception’s Expression is a good blend. The hull shape, bow entry, fore deck and rear deck of the Perception Ezpression are of classic UK touring kayak design and the bow and foredeck lines are very pleasing to the eye. With the Zone DLX outfitting and availability of two size options you can be assured of a comfortable fit, something of importance when looking at a touring or sea kayak you’ll spend some long times paddling in. The Perception Expression has a slight V-shaped hull which is very reassuring yet responsive. This touring and sea kayak is not unduly tippy and responds to edging as a kayak of these proportions should. The spring loaded TruTrack skeg is quickly available to assist you when the wind or currents are unkind. The smooth, sleek and predictable nature is perfect for touring on coastal waters, estuaries, lakes and rivers.
