| Venture Canoes Prospector 15 & 16 The Venture Prospector is possibly the most famous of all canoe designs and has never been bettered for all-round performance from navigating lakes and canals, to slightly trickier moving water. The hard-wearing Corelite construction provides a tough, lightweight hull that will survive many years of use. The Prospector tracks very well in a straight line and its symmetrical, shallow arched hull is also slightly rockered providing a good level of manoeuvrability and can take a heavy load without compromising performance. The Venture Prospector is available in two models featuring two wooden webbed seats and centre carrying yoke.Even though it features two seats, the Prospector 15 is an excellent open canoe for the solo paddler. It is easy to handle both on and off the water with good forward speed and is very responsive in the turns.The larger Prospector 16 is ideal as a solo or tandem open canoe for excursions or fishing trips and offers excellent performance and load carrying capacity for multi day expeditions.Both models in the Venture Prospector range are very stable, forgiving open canoes that are great either as first time boats or for someone looking to further their paddling skills in white water. They are sure to remain a classic design and will continue to look great, delivering many years of enjoyment and be very highly regarded on the water. |
