The Old Town Sorrento 126 SK is a lightweight 12ft6 day touring kayak, perfect for use on rivers, lakes and broads. At just over 12.5ft it is easy to handle on the water and weighing in at only 24.5kg it’s easy to car top as well as move too and from the water.
A sharp entry and exit line, combined with a mild v-shaped hull give the Sorrento 126 efficient movement through the water. With the superb easy to deploy drop down skeg, which is ideal in poor weather conditions, the tracking of the Sorrento 126 SK becomes almost arrow like. Designed to be slightly wider than other kayaks in its class the Sorrento 126 SK gives a confidence inspiring stability allowing paddlers to develop quickly.
Old Town have fitted the Sorrento 126 SK with a large open style cockpit, this enables paddlers who normally shy away from a sit inside touring kayak, for fear of being trapped a great sit in touring kayak option. Equipped with easy slide adjustable footrests and comfortable padded thigh brace areas allowing for a comfortable lock in and gaining better overall kayak control. The ACS2 seating system offers even more comfort, with an easy to adjust backrest including height & angle adjustment, your back is supported however you like to paddle, the contoured seat base with leg lifter takes the weight out of the thighs and keeps them in that best control position with no effort from the paddler.
Equipped with an impressive amount of storage, bungee areas on the front deck as well as behind the cockpit, and a large oval rear storage hatch with an internal sealed bulkhead is ideal for storing all you gear.
When looking for a lightweight, stable, day touring kayak with a larger cockpit for paddling on Norfolk Broads, lakes or rivers the Old Town Sorrento 126 SK is a wonderful option.
