A Super Light Performance Touring Kayak

The Delta Kayaks 16 is a super light performance based touring kayak built for paddlers wanting well balanced kayak that is manoeuvrable but retains the ability to track extremely well thanks to fine entry and exit lines allowing the paddler to efficiently cover distance. Constructed from a super lightweight thermoformed plastic Delta Kayaks have not only made a kayak that performs superbly on the water but it is easy to move around off the water - and looks great both on and off the water. With a weight of only 21kgs The Delta Kayaks 16 is easy to load onto most vehicles and is far easier than majority of other longer touring kayaks.

Soft chines and a shallow V-shaped hull help to keep the Delta Kayaks 16 paddling where you want to go, with the retractable skeg there to ensure this happens in adverse conditions as well. The skeg is simple to adjust via a jamming cleat to the left side of the cockpit, which has been well positioned in easy reach.

Getting comfortable is incredibly simple thanks to the Elevate Contour Seating System. This features an easy to adjust backrest that has height and angle adjustments. The seat base leg lifter gives the paddler support exactly where you need it (under your legs) and locks the paddler into the thigh braces. Adjustable footrests as well as the whole Elevate seating system being able to move backwards and forwards ensures that longer legged paddlers can get a comfortable fit. Built in drainage and airflow channels help to keep the Elevate Contour Seat both dry and cool, making the Delta Kayaks 16 ideal for long trips on the water.

Spacious oval storage hatches can be found in bow and stern of the kayak with sealed bulkheads, as well as a smaller day hatch in easy reach to the front of the cockpit. All the hatches have easy to use press fit solid hatch covers and are colour matched to the deck, which keeps with this kayaks superb looking design. Quick access paddle parks can be found at both the front and rear of the Delta Kayaks 16, they have raised bungee's making them even easier to use quickly. Just behind the seat the deck lines have been slightly raised to make securing a paddle float even easier, the storage bungee's behind the cockpit have also been recessed to make re-entry into the kayak snag free. Front and Rear toggle handles make 2 person lifting easy, these are retractable to reduce rattles during paddling and transportation.
