Triple Layer Roto Moulded Construction Sea Kayak

The Valley Etain RM is a modern expedition capable sea kayak ideal for paddlers wanting an incredibly fast day tourer or high capacity expedition sea kayak.

Built in a tough and durable triple layer polyethylene which retains stiffness whilst being less susceptible to impact damage than composite construction boats. It has a Swede form hull with the widest point just behind the cockpit giving it better stability in choppy conditions, as well as a better glide and, with a narrower section in front of the cockpit, a less encumbered paddle stroke.

The shallow V hull with a moderate rocker offers good initial stability and rock solid secondary stability allowing it to be edged with confidence. Once on edge it will turn and manoeuvre at a surprising rate that despite its over 17’ length and makes it a good choice for day trips, with a little play involved, as well as for longer trips and expeditions.

Fitted with four storage hatches, including a removable deck pod, on deck lines and bungees, which provide plenty of storage space for longer expeditions. Although a true sea kayak the Etain would also make a very fast day cruiser on lakes, rivers and broads enabling you to travel further in a day than a typical recreational kayak with plenty of storage space for picnics or camping stoves for that river side lunch!
