A Playful Sea Kayak Ideal For Surf & Short/Mid Length Trips

The P&H Aries is a superb sea kayak for paddlers looking for a boat to take on short or mid-length expedition trips and also be playful & fun in the surf. This sea kayak has evolved from the P&H Delphin which is a well loved plastic sea kayak. The Aries however take the construction to the next level with 5 different construction options depending on if the paddler is looking for the lightest weight or most heavy duty composite possible or something in between.  

The Aries has been designed with a squared off stern to maximise the waterline length which gives better tracking and speed helping on those mid-distance trips. This along with a great amount of bow rocker helps the front of the P&H Aries lift when surfing, the box volume ensures quicker resurfacing in rougher waters and ensures punching through waves is easier. The wide planing hull is manoeuvrable, the smooth rounded chines gives a stable, forgiving ride that is ideal for surfing. 

P&H have fully outfitted the Aries with everything a paddler could need. Internally in the cockpit an adjustable backrest, thigh braces and foot pegs ensure the paddler can get a perfect well connected fit with hip pads also included to make sure full control is not an issue. Bow, stern and day hatches allow plenty of space for storing all the gear any paddler could need while a mini hatch just in front of the cockpit keeps important items closer to hand. All hatches now use the durable Kajaksport hatch covers ensuring they last through harsh conditions. A front moulded compass recess fits the Silva 70P Compass (Not Included), to the rear of the cockpit there is a paddle shaft recess which helps keep the paddle in place during self rescues. Deck lines & bungees to both the bow & the stern offer plenty of on deck storage and securing points. The skeg which helps with tracking in adverse conditions is controlled via a slider to the left hand side of the cockpit making it easy to quickly move when paddling.
