The Venture Canoes Afon is a short, compact 14ft9 open canoe that is a super versatile and constructed from the popular Corelite triple layer plastic. Designed with a high volume, progressive rocker and a flared bow & stern that make the Afon a perfect canoe for use on moving whitewater as it has the ability to shed water, giving a drier ride. The higher volume with mild V-shaped hull allows the Afon to rise through features, while keeping you heading in the intended direction. Paddle cut away's have been well placed through the freeboard and gunwale to enable paddlers to perfectly place their paddle and never feel restricted on a key paddle stroke. This all has the making for a top whitewater open canoe however the Afon is not limit just to whitewaters. The Afon is also perfectly happy being used for some flat water touring on lakes rivers and broads for both day trips or weekend multi day excursions. The hull shape ensures for a good level of tracking, the rocker means if you wish to cross choppier open waters you will rise and fall over this chop while keeping dry thanks to the flared bow. As a shorter open canoe the Afon can easily be paddled as a tandem or solo set up making it a very versatile canoe from both a paddlers or intended water point of view.

The Venture Afon Cruiser is outfitted with 2 wood webbed seats as standard these are oiled as standard and match in with the wooden oiled carrying yoke. The seat hangers are ventures revolutionary adjustable hangers which allow the paddler to change the seat height as well as the angle or seat pitch.
