The Norse Idun is a composite sea kayak perfect for lighter weight paddlers looking for a versatile kayak for both touring and sea work. The Idun is a hard chined greenland style sea kayak offering enough stability from the flatter mid section of the hull to be suitable for paddlers taking their first steps into sea kayaking. Norse have given the Idun a responsive nature that will keep even the expert sea kayaker wanting to paddle the Idun over and over. Sea kayaks need their hull to be rigid in order to get the maximum performance from the hull shape, the Idun has a lightweight V shaped hull allowing great tracking as well as aramid reinforcements in the keel and chines to allow robustness, durability and maximum performance.

Good sized bow and stern storage hatches with bulkheads allow you to be able to carry enough gear for those weekend expeditions, while a smaller day hatch (with bulkhead) to the rear of the seating position allows you to keep somethings closer to hand. A smaller day hatch on the fore deck allows snacks and drinks to be right there in front of you for when you really need them. The Idun has all the deck bungee's and deck lines you would expect from any worthwhile sea kayak and taking from the Idun's Greenland influence it even has a specific Greenland storm stick bungee storage area on the top deck behind the seat. A compass recess along with front and rear carry handles finish off the hard wear outfitting in style.

The Idun comes with an easy to use skeg system, with the control conveniently placed just in front of the cockpit, for when the UK weather conditions turn and you need a little help. This skeg system is ideal for keeping you tracking in the right direction however due to the brilliant v-shaped hull is not needed all the time. The hard chines will give confidence to paddlers just starting out sea kayaking allowing them to hold and edge and control the Idun efficiently. While for expert paddlers the moderate rocker, hard chines & v shaped hull all make the Idun come alive in rougher more playful sea conditions.

The internal outfitting of the Norse Idun is superbly comfortable with a padded seat base and backband. The thigh braces are moulded into the cockpit rim and are in a perfect position for comfort while being aggressive enough to allow easy fine control of the kayak when out on the water. Simple foot pegs allow for quick adjustment and the perfect most comfortable fit possible.
