Ocean Kayak Prowler 13 Angler
The Ocean Kayak Prowler 13 Angler has always been a firm favourite with kayak fishermen. It has a no-frills approach to its deck layout and what it did have was right where you'd want it and worked a treat. The seating area is comfortable and spacious and storage really shouldn't be a problem with a bow hatch to access internal space and a large bungee covered tank well to the rear.
The Prowler is back with a new look but still the same faultless on the water performance and a few nifty little upgrades to bring it bang up to date. Based on the old Ocean Kayak Prowler Ultra 4.1 kayak hull, the Prowler 13 is a great sit on top for paddling and fishing on the sea in particular. It deals with punching through the swell easily and has plenty of speed to get you to your mark even if the conditions are less than perfect. Accessing coves and rocky coastlines are made easy as the Prowler 13 Angler is quick an nimble, turning with just a light paddle stroke. The deck area is uncluttered with plenty of areas for attaching additional rails for rod holders or fish finders and other kit. The Prowler 13 is a stable sit on top kayak and should you take a dunk, it's fairly easy to turn over and climb back onto even in deeper water.
If you're looking for a fast, stable fishing platform that you can outfit into one mean kayak fishing machine, then the Prowler certainly won't disappoint.
