StarBoard Touring - Hard SUP Board
An Efficient, Stable Hard Paddle Board
The Starboard Touring is a classically shaped hard stand up paddle board designed for efficient paddling which makes it perfect for long distance paddles or exploring local waters. Suitable for a range of paddler skill levels from those just starting out wanting to cruise local waters, all the way through to experienced paddlers wanting a board with a fast, gliding profile to really cover the miles quickly.
Taking inspiration from the award winning race SUP Starboards are known for they have given the Touring range a sharp, thin nose with low rocker which is perfect for slicing through the water. To reduce splashing and limit the dive when going over chop they have made the nose slightly squarer and taller on the side profile, this increases the SUPs ability to glide smoothly. The nose profile and swept back fin combine together to ensure superb straight line tracking.
The standing area of the Touring SUP range has been given a deeper recess to the mid of the board to increase stability and control. The rear of the board has a brilliant recessed drainage channel which helps guide water from the standing area to the tail of the board and flush it back off the board quickly. Chamfered edges to the box rails reduce the board from rolling side to side which would allow water to enter the board, it also increase speed and a gives a feel of more stability - which really helps newer paddlers.
The flat tail and sides of the Starboard Touring ensures a clean and smooth release, which decreases tail wake. All together this helps to increase the efficiency and ability for this solid SUP to glide and maintain a lovely cruising speed.
Available in 2 sizes 12'6" or 14'0" and in 2 constructions Lite Tech or Star Lite there really is a StarBoard Touring Hard SUP for everyone.
StarLite: This construction has the strongest rail ever tested! Using a super durable, scratch and impact resistant woven 200g twill azure rail protection this board will stand the test of time. A full 0.6mm deck of Australian Pine Wood sandwiches 2 glass outer skins, this increases the overall total breaking strength and reduces the overall weight thanks to its lower resin absorption. All of this creates a strong solid SUP that looks stunning.
Lite Tech: This construction is a lite, strong and affordable option that is super rigid. To create a super durable SUP, StarBoard use a unidirectional stringer band, along with added rail and nose reinforcements. Australian Pine on the standing area makes sure the most critical area is rigid and has extra impact resistance. All of this makes for an affordable, slightly lighter solid performance SUP.
