A Fast, Inflatable Race SUP For Top Performance

The StarBoard All Star Airline 14' is a superb range of inflatable stand up paddle board designed for racing but that is also very popular with those paddling SUPs are part of their training regime, or those looking for an efficient touring board.

The All Star 14' is used by many as part of the Airline Race Series, which anyone can enter, where paddlers using any Airline SUP can enter into the season-long leader board. It runs along with the GB SUP National Series and is specifically for those using Starboard Airline inflatable race boards like the All Star.  

This top spec board is superbly packed full of features, much like all the other Star Boards it still uses their Welded Rail Tech where the side wall and top of the board is mechanically bonded rather than glued to ensure a super durable board. The drop stitch base and space yarns, which allows for the pressure and shape of the board, include Fusion Woven Drop Stitch to provide an extra strong, stiff base while requiring less space yarn which gives a slightly lighter weight to carry without effecting durability.

The Airline range uses an upgraded tensioner system, this allows the board to be inflated whilst still letting the paddler change the SUPs tension. This means it is much easier and quicker to setup, but also allows the paddler to change the tension and therefore the performance. This tension system has a line that runs over the nose cone, under the carbon central stringer and attaches to the front of the fin box at the rear of the board. Thanks to the tension line running the full length of the board the whole boards performance benefits for the ability to change the tension allowing paddlers to feel the SUP quickly spring back as they bend through powerful paddle strokes. Twin carbon deck stringers stiffen the SUP further while, EVA side trays in the centre of the board gives the feeling of a composite board ensuring paddlers can put their feet wider to the edges, this in turn provides more secondary stability and control when rolling side to side as you paddle. The grip pad in this area is a corduroy mat, however moving towards the rear of the board the pad texture changes into a foam ensuring paddlers can feel where they are on the board without needing to waste time and energy looking at the board. The diamond grooved red stomp pad is easy to see and ensures performing step back turns is easier. The tear shaped fin box has been designed to reduce the amount of drag which is super important when paddlers are looking for the most efficient SUPs. 

Front deck bungees allow paddlers wanting to use this as a touring board to have storage space in easy reach, also useful if racing to keep hydration close to hand for before or after the event. 3 central race handles are not only useful for those tricky beach starts but for those not doing race starts they offer comfortable places to handle the All Star 14. FCS Mounts to the front and middle of the board and perfect for a Light, Compass, Go Pro or even a GPS. 

The All Star 14 comes as standard with a handy wheely bag that has plenty of space for an easy end of the session pack down. Star Boards recommend the inflatable SUP is folded rather than rolled, this is due to the EVA side trays and fin box. To accommodate this the bag has been made shorter but wider.  

The All Star 14 Airline is a superb performance race board for those wanting to get involved in competitions, however is also a fantastic board for touring, long distance, adventure stand up paddle boarding which will see paddlers SUPing for longer and covering more miles.
