Gumotex Scout Standard
Most inflatable open canoes are generally a compromise. This is usually on the quality of the materials, the amount of storage space, the weight or some other aspect that lets the canoe down. Not the case with the Gumotex Scout Standard.
The Gumotex Scout Standard really is the full package. It's made from the brilliant Nitrilon material that's tried and tested and very reliable. The sides of this inflatable canoe are nice and high giving you a drier ride than most inflatable canoes. The 3 bench seats are comfortable and have tubular T-shaped reinforcements underneath for extra strength. There are also thigh straps can be quickly and simply threaded into the floor to secure you through the bumpy stuff. There is even a self-draining area that can be opened quickly by the rear paddler if it looks like water is going to be coming over the bow as you traverse rapids.
With ample room for 3 paddlers or alternatively plenty of space for camping it, the Gumotex Scout Standard is a very versatile open canoe style inflatable with bags of potential.
