The 12'6 length allows a superb glide which makes it great for learners just wanting to go cruising around, but offering enough efficiency & ground speed for those paddlers looking at doing the odd weekend warrior race. The upswept, well rockered, yet slightly narrower nose not only gives that race feel but provides confidence in chop when paddling out over a swell. This nose rocker also ensures playing around in the surf is very easy and paddlers are far less likely to catch the nose. The tail narrows nicely and has a step back kick pad to allow for both quick buoy turns and sharp turns in the waves.  

Bungee tie-downs on the front of the board make carrying gear easy, while the new centre bungee tie-down makes getting to your gear quickly far easier. A detachable shoulder carry strap comes with the Generation 12'6 as standard which makes carrying the board far more comfortable.

A thruster 2+1 fin set up allows paddlers looking to do some cruising/touring or racing to run with just the centre fin to enable plenty of tracking. For those using the Generation in the surf the Thruster 3 fin set up gives the ability to turn and offers more grip when coming down the wave and driving into a carve turn. 

Parabolic reinforced rails to the underside of this SUP board allow added stiffness which translates to a more reactive board in the waves and a higher performance board in race situations. To the tail of the board Star Boards have given the Generation 12'6 a defined rail edge starting just in front of the fins and running right to the tail, this gives a smooth release on flat waters and offers better control in the surf. 

All this as well as the brilliant welded rail tech that sees the seam of the board mechanically bonded in the factory to ensure a durable, long lasting Stand Up Paddle Board. The woven base yarns add more stiffness than knitted base yarns used by most other manufactures, these woven base yarns also require Star Boards to use less space yarns. This in turn makes the Generation 12'6 inflatable SUP lighter.
