Riot Edge 13
The Riot Edge 13 is part of the brilliant Riot Kayak Edge range of touring boats. The Edge 13 is the mid-size of the 3 offerings and gives the best of both worlds. With a length of just over 13ft and a 26.5kg carry weight it makes this kayak easy to move around both on and off the water as well as when car topping. A well sized cockpit allows for easy entry and exit but with out making the cockpit so large you struggle to get any form of kayak control. Suitable for a range of paddler levels the Edge 13 has great on the water stability meaning you can feel comfortable while starting out as the Edge 13 looks after you, but not feel limited as you progress and want to go further and do more.
Riot have equipped the Edge 13 with all the best features from around their ranges. The super comfortable and adjustable Flex 4 seating system not only allows for forwards and backwards angle adjust of the backrest, but it also has height adjustment and a leg lifter to really allow paddlers to feel comfortable in this kayak all day. Easy adjust footpegs can be moved while sat in the kayak to gain the ideal lock and control with the seat and moulded in padded thigh braces.
The Edge 13 offers plenty of storage in the form of front and rear oval storage hatches with internal bulkheads as well as a deck twist lock storage hatch just in front of the cockpit, that is ideal for keeping things you might need quickly close to hand. Deck lines and bungees give more on deck storage should you require more places. Rear mounted accessory track rails give the ability to secure camera mounts etc (attachments not included) to the rear of this kayak to give even more versatility. An easy and quick to use drop down skeg for those changeable weather conditions is sure to keep the Edge 13 heading in the right direction.
This kayak is ideal for a range of water be it fresh water touring on lakes, river and broads or getting further a field on some inlets and light costal waters. In the right hands this Riot Edge 13 is a very capable kayak and will look after paddlers just starting out.
