The Mad River Explorer TT range of open canoes are ideal for those looking for a hard-wearing and sturdy open canoe that will allow them the flexibility of pretty much go anywhere and do anything. The 14 TT is a great solo and tandem canoe for those don't need to carry a great deal of kit, while the Explorer 16 TT is perfect for family trips, camping and expeditions with ample room for two paddlers and plenty of space for gear.
The hull shape of the Explorer TT has a shallow V shape which gives the canoe excellent straight line performance without compromising too much on its turning ability. There is a good blend of primary and secondary stability making the Explorer great for beginners and generating plenty of on the water confidence as it never feels too tippy. 2 wood and web seats come as standard and are very comfortable, even over long distances and Mad River manufacturing quality makes sure that the Explorer has been built to last.
