The Nova Craft Prospector 14 Tuffstuff Lightweight Solo Open Canoe is the most multipurpose short canoe that Nova Craft offer across their whole range. Taking the well-loved hull shape of the longer Nova Craft Prospector Canoes and scaling it down into a compact solo version has given the ideal canoe for exploring lakes, rivers & broads. Thanks to its TuffStuff construction this solo canoe weighs in at only 19.9kgs making it light enough to be carried easily by one person and car topping is a breeze, solo paddling just got even more accessible.

Retaining the symmetrical hull of the larger Prospector range, with moderate bow and stern rocker, the Prospector 14 is still just as responsive and has just as much on the water paddling performance. Being slightly shorter than the other tandem Prospectors, this version has more flat water paddling efficiency, but still keeps its great load capacity carrying capabilities. This makes overnight camping trips, multi-day expeditions, or even carrying a dog with you still a very viable option.

The Nova Craft prospector 14 TuffStuff solo open canoe comes outfitted as standard with a comfortable ash wood bootlace seat, 2 structural ash thwarts, bow & stern ash carry handles and built-in buoyancy tanks at both the bow and stern of the canoe.
