The Swift Wildfire is a super lightweight solo open canoe that crosses the classic David Yost design with the superb Swift Canoes lightweight construction process. Kevlar Fusion super lightweight canoes are made with a urethane resin system for top level durability and longevity along with a thin layer of exterior gel coat. These hulls are constructed of an exterior layer of polyester as well as S-Glass and Kevlar cloth layers which sandwich a durable foam cored rib/base system. The laminate is then fused together with the high impact, flexible urethane acrylate resin injected during Swift Canoes high pressure infusion process produces the optimal dispersion and laminate consistency. The UV shield adds some scratch resistance, while scratches will still be slightly visible initially, after the application some 303 aerospace protectant (not included) they are much less visible and scratches are then protected. Don't forget as with any laminate boat, a single application of this protectant will only last for a couple of trips so it will need to be reapplied regularly.

The Wildfire being made from the superbly lightweight Kevlar Fusion laminate needs a gunwale/trim that not only looks as appealing but is going to keep things as light and tough as possible. The Carbon Kevlar Trim makes a Swift Canoe one of the lightest Canoes out there, using a unique to Swift Canoes manufacture process it enables Swift to infuse the Kevlar Fusion canoe hull and gunwales as one. This makes a super strong and rigid bond between the hull of the canoe and gunwale/trim.
