The Vibe Shearwater 125 sit on top fishing kayak with X-Drive pedal drive is the perfect kayak for kayak fishing ideal for those who want both a capable paddling or pedal powered kayak. Brilliant for use on a variety waters the Shearwater comes as standard with both the Vibe X-Drive and Versa Pod which both mount in the same location, and allow you to paddle or pedal. The Vibe X-Drive has easy to adjust arms allowing the drive to suit a range of different leg lengths, using a fin drive style design with efficient movement through the water that can also flutter stroke to navigate through shallower waters. On paddling days out, the Vibe Versa Pod slots into the drive bay giving an additional storage area with a top magnetic tackle holder and stops splash coming up through the drive port.

The Shearwater 125 comes with Vibes X-Drive pedal system, this allows for a fast yet smooth pedal acceleration. The X-Dive is perfect for those looking to travel longer distances more quickly but also ideal for those looking to cruise the waters. Pedal drive kayaks allow for longer cruising without feeling fatigue this is thanks to using your legs, utilising larger leg muscles than arm muscles. The fin drive of the X-drive is quiet and efficient, it can be used on both salt and fresh waters just needing to be rinsed down to ensure longevity of the drive. The arms of the X-Drive are quick and easy to adjust allowing it to accommodate pretty much any leg length.

For steering the Vibe Shearwater 125 it has been fitted it with their Gravity rudder system which operates on a double hinged slide and stow mechanism with 2 methods of operating. To the side of the Summit seat is a hand control perfectly placed for use when using the X-Drive to pedal. If paddling simply use the adjustable Freeflow Footrests with Push-Pull Style footrest controls to steer the rudder system..

The Vibe Summit Seat keeps you comfortable during longer days out on the water, it has a high-backed design with adjustable backrest recline angle which gives great back support. Mounted on slide track rails enables adjustment when pedaling and it can also be used to help trim the boat keeping your weight centralised. It has 4 seating positions to chose from with both flat and recumbent options, along with this a sliding storage tray under the seat is super useful for all those things you need to keep close to hand.

Vibe have equipped the Shearwater 125 with plenty of storage and accessory mountings, a large bungeed cargo well at the front and rear of this sit on top kayak are ideal for storing larger dry bags or a trolley, the front storage is covered with a Flex Top® gear cover which has a quick access paddle park on top. There are Tackle Box storage bins either side of the seat so your lures and tackle are always in easy reach. 4 rear facing flush-mounted rod holders perfect for trolling are located just behind the seat along with 2 horizontal rod holders with securing bungee's and bow rod tip protectors this allows the Vibe Shearwater 125 to take up to 8 Rods. 2 side track accessory rails to the bow and 2 to the stern mean you can add additional rod holders, fish finders or camera mounts in your chosen locations. A small removable pod with through hull access, located just in front of the X-drive or Versa pod makes for the ideal location to mount a transducer, while 3 Sealed access plates across the Shearwaters deck make running cables for electronics far easier.

The Shearwater 125 has a streamline hull with a slightly pronounced central keel running its length, allowing for fine entry and exit lines which gives the Vibe Kayaks Shearwater 125 great straight-line tracking, efficiency and speed through the water. Thanks to the width of the Shearwater 125 it is incredible stability making it possible to fish from a standing position if preferred. Vibe have fitted the Shearwater with high quality deck pads for added grip, with raised pads either side of the seating area for additional reach and stability. To help with getting from seated to standing Vibe have included a stand assist strap that you can pull on to help get from seated to standing and from standing to seated.

To allow easier lifting and loading of the Shearwater 125 Vibe have fitted the kayak with side phantom carry handles, or if there are 2 people lifting great moulded rear handles and a single front Phantom carry handle. When car topping the X-drive is removable as is the Summit seating system to allow for the lightest possible hull weight.
