An All Round Hard Board For Touring, Surfing or Racing

The StarBoard Generation Hard SUP Range is one of the most versatile Stand Up Paddle Boards on the market. Its hybrid design allows paddlers to do a bit of it all, from touring & racing to playing in the surf. This high performance board is the must have board for SUP'ers wanting to do a bit of everything but only wanting to have 1 Paddle Board. Available in a range of different widths & volumes in either 12'6 or 14' lengths it allows paddlers to choose if they want a longer more touring/race orientated SUP or a shorter easier to maneuver board.  

Using a round vee-bottom board shape gives the Generation slightly more lift ensuring it can accelerate quickly reaching and maintaining its top speed more easily. This lift also helps when in chop allowing the board to float over the chop more smoothly. Its deep double concave either side of the round-vee gives the paddler a more stable feel under foot. The thickness of the rails run through the whole boards profile and not only gives a lovely balanced feel but also gives great glide. These rails are thinner than race boards like the All Star or Sprint, but this helps to make the Generation easier to manoeuvre on the water as well as being lighter and less demanding to carry when off the water. The upswept gradual rocker to the nose profile is perfect for playing in the surf and dealing with lumpy conditions ensuring paddlers can avoid the Board diving and catching the nose.

The comfortable standing area has a grippy pad to ensure moving around on the board is not only comfortable but confidence inspiring. The pad is recessed to lower the centre of gravity which makes trimming the board easier and helps when getting back to the tail or using the kick pad for turns. StarBoard have given the Generation a 3 fin thruster setup which is ideal for surfing as it ensures added drive and control when turning the board and taking off into a wave, but if the paddler is just out for a touring paddle or in a race environment they can use only the 8" centre fin. 

The nose of the board is set up with a criss-cross bungee tie downs for securing any kit you might want to take with you out on the water. The central recessed carry handle makes picking the board up and getting it in and out of the water from the bank much easier. The included Board sock offers protection when storing or transporting the Generation SUP.
