The Delta Kayaks 12.10 is a lightweight, recreational touring kayak perfect for paddlers looking for a scaled down touring kayak that is feature packed. Constructed from thermoformed plastic the Delta Kayaks 12.10 weighs in at only 18.6kgs, when this weight is coupled with the shorter 12.10 length it makes for a super easy to manage, high performance kayak that can easily be loaded on and off a roofrack.
The sleek hull design offers a fine entry line which carries into a mild v-shape through the mid section this ensures the Delta Kayaks 12.10 has great tracking as is able to cut through the water with ease. The exit line at the stern of the kayak is also aggressive acting somewhat like a skeg to really aid that tracking in most conditions. The flared volume around the rounded chine area offer a predictable ride with plenty of feedback to paddlers when edging, if the kayak is kept flat in the water the stability feels great. The V-Shaped hull allows more advanced paddlers to edge the kayak in order to make turning smooth and more efficient. The minimal rocker to both ends of the 12.10 maximises the water line length to give one of the most efficient touring kayaks on the market.
The 12.10 is comfortable for full days out on the water, Delta use the Elevate Contour Seating System which features an easy to adjust backrest offering adjustment in both height and recline angle. The Multi-Position seat base gives angle adjustment to the front of the seat allowing the paddler to raise and lower the front edge of the seat for added thigh support keeping the paddlers thighs in the padded thigh braces for the ultimate kayak control and that locked in feel. The seating pads are well padded to give top level comfort, they also have channels for venting allowing excess heat to escape which keeps the paddler comfortable all year round. For longer legged paddlers the Delta Kayaks 12.10 has not only adjustable footrests but the seating system can also be adjusted to maximise leg room and to trim the kayaks balance to make sure every paddler can get the ultimate level of performance.
Delta Kayaks have given the 12.10 as many features as possible and have really made the 12.10 feel like a mini sea kayak with the amount of features they have packed in. A large oval rear storage hatch and oval front storage hatch with bulkhead give a plenty of storage space to carry all the gear you might want on either a day paddle or weekend expedition. Deck bungee's allow for on deck storage for anything else you want to keep closer to hand. Bow and Stern toggle carry handles make 2 person lifting and loading on and off the car easy - not that really need 2 people to lift this lightweight 18.6kg kayak.
