Delta Kayaks 17.5T - With Rudder
The Delta Kayaks 17.5T with rudder is the lightest weight tandem performance based touring & sea kayak. Designed for paddlers wanting to paddle bigger expanses of fresh water or take on some coastal paddles. Thanks to its water line length of just over 17.5ft this allows paddlers to achieve a good cruising speed making it ideal for longer expeditions. With a mild amount of rocker dealing with some chop that tends to occur on coastal paddles or bigger expanses of water it is no issue at all really. The included rudder system makes turning this double touring and sea kayaks much easier, it also allows in adverse weather condition that the paddlers can press on with powerful strokes while the feet controlled rudder system does the steering.
Constructed from brilliant lightweight thermoformed plastic the Delta Kayaks 17.5T weighs in at only 31.8kgs which, for a tandem kayak that boasts a 17.6ft length makes it far easier to handle both on and off the water and ensures lifting & loading on to roofracks is much less challenging.
One of the attractions of Thermoformed kayaks is defiantly the overall weight saving, making longer kayaks like the 17.5T Tandem more manageable and while Delta Kayaks are no different they do make kayaks that look absolutely superb. The sleek lines and bold, shiny two tone colours make these kayaks look next level. The thermoformed construction enables added hull stiffness, which is one of the most important factors when it comes to a performance expedition tandem style kayak.
Adjustable footrests along with the Delta Kayaks Elevate Contour seating system is perfect for staying comfortable on longer multi day trips. It is an easy seating system to get great connectivity and control using the thigh braces that are built in to the underside of the cockpit rim. The adjustable backrest has both height and angle adjustment and offers the back support right where the paddler needs it. The seat base is fitted with a leg lifter to take the weight out of keeping your legs into the padded thigh braces. Drainage and airflow channels run through the seat base and backrest to ensure the paddler is comfortable during those warmer days on the water. Both seat bases can adjust forwards and backwards inside the Delta Kayaks 17.5T this is perfect for allowing space for paddlers who have longer legs.
Large press lock hard shelled hatches in the bow and stern with securing over bungee's ensure paddlers can load all their gear in easily, while a smaller central day hatch between the two cockpits is ideal for smaller bits of gear you want closer to hand. All the Delta kayaks push lock hard hatches have been colour matched to the deck, this is to keep that sleek looking design that Delta Kayaks pride themselves on. To make life easier front and rear carry handles make lifting and loading much quicker these are bungee loaded to stop them flapping around.

Delta Kayaks Hip Pad Kit
This hip pad kit has been designed to work specifically with Delta Kayaks and their contour seating system, it allows the paddler to get the best connection to the kayak. Ensuring you get a snug fit in the cockpit gives the paddler much better control of the kayak when doing more technical paddle strokes and bracing the kayak.
Containing: 2 x moulded side supports & 4 x foam shims. The Foam shims are supplied to fill any gaps between the paddlers hips and the Delta Kayaks Contour Seat pillars.
