The Nova Craft Prospector is a superb all-round canoe, and for a family the Prospector 17 in Tuff Stuff makes living with a large canoe a whole lot easier. At only 27.2kgs the Prospector 17 in standard Tuff Stuff and 29.5kg in Tuff Stuff Expedition, it gives you all the room you could need in a family canoe but at the weight of a small single person touring kayak. For anyone who has previously tried to handle a canoe of this size off the water, having a 17 foot canoe that weights so little is an absolute dream come true.
Made in the home of open boating - Canada, Nova Craft have been manufacturing open canoes for over 40 years and are world renowned for their quality designs and workmanship.
The Nova Craft Prospector 17 Tuff Stuff canoe can be loaded up with kit for canoe camping, expedition paddling, holiday gear or just people as it has bags of room for the kids or kit. There is even plenty of space to be outfitted with 3 seats and still leaves room for gear as well.
The Prospector 17 canoe is also available in Tuff Stuff Expedition material where additional layering and reinforcement make it that bit tougher again - perfect if you're thinking of taking on a little white water while out on an adventure.
Note: The Nova Craft Prospector 17 Tuff Stuff canoe is also available with factory fitted wooden gunwales, skid plates and kneeling thwart.
