Hobie Sport - 2019
The Hobie Sport is the smallest kayak in the Hobie range of brilliant Mirage Drive kayaks. Being only 28kg it is also fairly lightweight making the Sport fairly easy for most individuals to manage both on and off the water, especially for children, teenagers and smaller adults.Although the Sport sit on top kayak is small, and packed with numerous features.
Hobie’s New 180 Mirage Drive System with its new Glide Technology makes this kayak quiter and more efficient than ever when moving through the water. An easy to use twist and drop rudder provide great cruising pleasure, the fingertip steering control is precise. You could also go for the optional sail package for total versatility and all-round fun on the water.
The beauty of the new 180 drive is in its ability to switch from forward to reverse at to simple pull of a toggle. No more getting stuck in reed beds or having to remove the drive in order to go backwards. For the sportsman, the Hobie Sport sit on top comes with 2 moulded flush fishing rod holders, enough internal storage for day trips and the large bungee covered rear tank well can take larger items for an overnight stop. The Hobie Sport is also now Lowrance Fishfinder ready making putting your New Lowrance Fishfinder on easier than ever.
The Hobie Sport’s light weight construction combined with the front, rear and side carry handles make this sit on top kayak very easy to handle off the water. Its compact size and shape also make the Hobie Sport easier to store and car top than many comparable kayaks.
